The 4th Annual Econometrics Game will be held on April 7th, 2018.
The Econometrics Game is an annual interscholastic competition hosted by OEconomica in association with the University of Chicago’s of Department of Economics and the Becker Friedman Institute.
The competition is a two-day event held on campus. Teams of undergraduates receive a dataset, conduct their own economic analysis, and produce a short academic paper by the end of the day. Finalists present their results in front of a panel of judges, including Nobel Prize winning economists. Past participants include Chicago-area and Ivy League universities. Winners have received iPads, Kindles, and signed books as prizes.
